Meet Donatella. She measures about 20 inches long by 10 inches across in her relaxed resting position, and 20 by 15 inches with her legs stretched out. These are her resting measurements, not the blanket dimensions. They are real fit examples, not maximum dog-size limits.

The pouch

A cocoon they climb into and vanish inside. On your lap on the couch, beside you in bed. Covered on every side, which is the whole point if your dog is a burrower.

The blanket

Opens flat in a second. For the stroller, the back seat, a friend's couch. The days they'd rather lie on top of something than inside it.

It's the one thing you'll actually pack.

Most dog gear travels like furniture, so it stays home. Burrowito is a compact blanket that goes in the bag. It also smells like home after the first night, which is what helps them settle somewhere new.

Our story

One pouch. Two sisters.
Nine years in the making.

Where it started

It started with Gabi

Nine years ago, we found a soft snuggle pouch for our aging dog Gabi. She'd curl up inside, disappear beneath the fabric, and sleep.

A little piece of home

The pouch traveled with us. Gabi and her sister Evie would settle inside it on trips. Something soft and familiar, even when everything else was changing.

Six years ago

Then Valentina arrived

Puppy Valentina came into our lives and found Gabi's favorite spot. The cocoon. Anywhere close and cozy.

Then came Donatella

Years later, it was Donatella's turn. The cocoon passed quietly from one pair of sisters to the next. Two generations, one snuggle spot.

Then it went viral

One day it all came together. The pouch, low beneath the office chair, two tiny faces peeking over the edge. We shared it online. It went viral. Hundreds asked the same question: "Where can I get one?"

A NOTE ON SAFETY

Burrowito is a resting and burrowing space for supervised use, not a carrier, and not designed to hang from furniture. The chair setup in the video was a playful, supervised moment close to the floor, not the product's intended use. Always supervise your pet.

The original pouch had been ours for almost a decade. Sharing it meant building our own version: what the dogs loved, what you asked for, and the small details that make it feel right.

The fabric is decided

This is what's going into the first Burrowitos.

Chosen by your votes, and confirmed the moment we felt it in hand. Every Burrowito in this first run is cut and sewn one at a time, by Fabrícia and Dacia, and tested by Valentina and Donatella (their toughest critics) before it ships.

Who's behind it

Oxe Ventures is founded by Fabrícia and Dacia da Silva, with Valentina and Donatella serving as co-managers and, more importantly, chief prototype testers. Nothing ships until it passes both of them first. The name comes from a word for excitement back home in northeastern Brazil, which is about the size of the reaction the first video got.
